Powerball Winning Ticket Sold in Hartford County Still Unclaimed from January 22 DrawingSomeone bought a CT Powerball ticket for the January 22, 2011 drawing that matched five out of six numbers for the $200,000 prize.  The only problem?  That drawing occurred nearly six months ago, and the winner has until Thursday, July 21, 2011 to collect their $200,000 prize before their ticket expires.

Of the 17,249 winning tickets sold statewide for that drawing, one ticket sold in Hartford County matched the first 5 numbers drawn for the game’s $200,000 prize.  The winning numbers on January 22 were, 30 - 31 - 34 - 45 - 51, the Powerball number was 23.

Winners have 180-days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes.

In order to claim the prize, the claimant with the winning ticket should sign the ticket to establish ownership, go to any CT Lottery retail location prior to the deadline, have the ticket validated, and present the ticket to Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill.   Due to Lottery security procedures, officials cannot release the town or retailer location of where the winning ticket was sold until it is claimed and verified.
