Good Things Come in Threes for CT Lottery Players with 3-3-3As the saying goes, “All good things come in threes,” and such was the case for the lucky lottery players who had 3 – 3 – 3 on their Play3 Night tickets for the March 12, 2015 drawing.

Statewide, 2,547 winning wagers were sold and after all winning claims are presented, $993,475 in prize money will be paid out by the CT Lottery. This is the third largest payout in Play3 Night history for the triple three sequence.

Since the Play3 Night game began, 3 - 3 - 3 has been drawn twelve times in the night drawing with the last combination being picked on August 26, 2011.

"Even though any one number is just as good as the next, 3 - 3 - 3 is certainly a favorite, and frequently played triple digit number," said Anne M. Noble, CT Lottery President and CEO.  "We're happy for all of the winners and with them the best of luck."

Because prize payouts in the game are based upon amount wagered, players could have won $250 (for a $.50 wager) up to $2,500 (for a $5.00 wager). High-Tier Centers are able to cash CT Lottery prizes up to $5,000.

Though the bulk of winners will most likely redeem their tickets in the next few days, players with winning tickets have 180 calendar days from the date of draw to collect their winnings. The Lottery encourages all winners to redeem their tickets promptly.
