More Reasons to Get “Lucky for Life®” with New Second “Lifetime” PrizeAnne M. Noble, President and CEO of the CT Lottery, announced today that Lucky for Life, the multi-state lottery draw game with a top prize worth up to $1,000 a day, every day for life, will soon give players even more reasons to get Lucky!

On September 17, 2013, Lucky for Life’s second prize will now be worth up to $25,000 a year, every year for life, replacing the game’s current $25,000 lump sum second prize.  This change makes Lucky for Life the only lottery draw game to offer two “For Life” prize levels.

“We’ve spoken extensively to Lucky for Life players across New England and it comes as no surprise…they want more ways to win lifetime prizes,” said Noble.  “This change will provide players with exactly what they’ve been asking for—a new second prize worth up to $25,000 a year for life, and the choice of a new payment option for both ‘lifetime’ prizes.”

About the new Lucky for Life game:

• The game features cash prizes ranging from $2 to $3,000.  Overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 8.6.  Odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 41,391,714.

• New England Lucky for Life tickets are $2 each and are sold at Lottery retailers in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.  Winning tickets must be redeemed in the state where purchased.

• Drawings are held every Monday and Thursday at 10:38 pm in Connecticut and aired live on FOX CT/Channel 61 in Hartford.

• “For Life” prizes are payable for the length of a winner’s natural life.  At minimum, payments are guaranteed to be made for 20 years, but could last much longer, based on the lifespan of the winner.
