The last drawing for Lucky for Life was Saturday, February 21, 2026. Winning tickets must be claimed 180 calendar days from the drawing date indicated on a winning ticket. The last day to claim a winning ticket for the February 21, 2026 drawing is Thursday, August 20, 2026. To timely claim a prize, go to a CT Lottery Retailer or to CT Lottery Headquarters, 15 Sterling Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492.

TOP PRIZE (5 Numbers + Lucky Ball)

• 1 top prize winning ticket: $365,000 a YEAR FOR LIFE (Annuity) or $5,750,000 (Cash Option)
• 2-14 top prize winning tickets: The prize value is split equally among the winning tickets; the minimum prize value for this category is $500 a week for life.
• 15 or more top prize winning tickets: The top prize liability of $7,125,000 is split equally among all top prize winning tickets and paid in one lump sum payment. The minimum prize value for this category shall not be less than any lower tier prize paid in that respective drawing.

Minimum top prize period is 20 years. Top prize winners may choose the Cash Option as an alternative to the Annuitized Payment Option. Top prize amount shown is based on one winning ticket. Top prize values governed by "split-prize" liability; the top prize is divided equally among the top prize winning tickets and may be less than shown.

SECOND PRIZE (5 Numbers)
• 1-20 second prize winning tickets: $25,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE (Annuity) or $390,000 (Cash Option)
• 21 or more second prize winning tickets: The second prize liability of $9,400,000 is split equally among all second prize winning tickets and paid in one lump sum payment. The minimum prize value shall not be less than any lower tier prize paid in that respective drawing.

Minimum second prize payment period is 20 years. Second prize winners may choose the Cash Option as an alternative to the Annuitized Payment Option. Second prize amount shown is based on one to twenty winning tickets. Second prize values governed by "split-prize" liability; the second prize is divided equally among the second prize winning tickets and may be less than shown.

THIRD PRIZE (4 Numbers + Lucky Ball)

• $5,000 prize value is guaranteed up to 1,000 winning tickets.

If the number of winning tickets exceeds 1,000 the total prize liability of $5,000,000 is divided equally among the winning tickets. The minimum prize value for this category is $200.

All prizes are rounded to the nearest whole dollar.

Winners of the Top Prize or Second Prize in Lucky for Life have the choice to receive a one-time cash lump sum payment instead of the lifetime annuity payments. The "For Life" prizes are guaranteed for a minimum of 20 years. The lump sum option for the Top Prize is $5,750,000 (before taxes), and for the Second Prize, it is $390,000 (before taxes).
In the event of an annuity prize winner's death, the Lottery will make any remaining guaranteed payments to the winner's estate or beneficiary as directed by court order or other governing document. Please call the CT Lottery's Finance Department at 860-713-2650 to report the death of annuity prize winner. 

No. Although it is a multi-state game, Lucky for Life tickets must be claimed in the same state or jurisdiction in which they were purchased.
