The Ultimate Win!

It was the quick errand that Shelley Suttles will never forget.

The Bridgeport man says he was running errands and needed to pick up a few items when he decided to buy an Ultimate 7s scratch game ticket at checkout.

It turned out to be a $1 million winner.

“I almost passed out,” Suttles said after discovering his prize. “I scratched off the box and saw a million dollars. I’ve never seen a million dollars on a ticket before. I picked up the phone and told my sister, and she started screaming. She couldn’t believe it either.”

Suttles says he’s a regular CT Lottery player and enjoys the experience of playing.

The winning ticket was purchased at Grand Package Store on Main St. in Bridgeport. For selling the ticket, Grand Package Store will receive a $10,000 bonus — one of the many benefits of being a CT Lottery retail partner.

Suttles says he plans to use the money to pay off bills and donate to his church.

He’s also no stranger to winning…over the summer, Shelley won $100,000 playing Cash5.
