Bread Delivery Route Pays Off for Stratford Woman with a Whole "Lotto" DoughHaving been laid off from work since January, Stephanie Buzbee of
Stratford was available to lend her boyfriend a helping hand by
accompanying him on his bread delivery route last week.
stop, Buzbee decided to do something out of the ordinary and buy a
"$5,000,000 Ultimate" scratch game ticket. "It was the first time I've
ever bought a $30 ticket. When I won $100, I was really excited. We
even did a little happy dance about it," Buzbee told Lottery officials
with a laugh.
At the next stop, Buzbee cashed in her winning
ticket and purchased another of the same. "This time I just scratched
off the barcode area and scanned it in the ticket checker," Buzbee
said. "When I saw message on the ticket checker, I thought, 'This can't
be right,' but it was. It was a $10,000 winner!"
"Last week was
a great week," Buzbee said. "[The prize] is going to pay my bills for
the next couple months, and I just got a job offer the same week!"
Buzbee's prize-winning ticket was purchased at City Star Mart at 500 Boston Post Road, Guilford.
The winning names, stories and photos on this website are just a small number of the thousands who claim prizes. The fact is, people win every day with the CT Lottery! Below is a list of recently claimed prizes of $10,000 or more. Please Note: When a winning scratch ticket is validated through a Lottery Retailer's terminal, the remaining number of unclaimed prizes for that prize level is automatically updated reflecting one less prize. Until the individual or group presents their winning ticket for claim at CT Lottery Headquarters, the identity of a winner is unknown.
