Danbury Man Scores Lottery’s Big Game “50/50 Super Draw” $100,000 Top PrizeAs everyone knows, it was the New England Patriots who rallied to down the Seattle Seahawks and win Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday, but it was Giovanni Forlini of Danbury who scored a winning touchdown of his own when the six-digit ticket number on his 50/50 Super Draw ticket – 032023 – was an exact match to the winning number randomly drawn on February 1 for the big game’s $100,000 top prize.
“I logged onto the lottery’s website after the drawing to check for the winning number. When I saw my number was a match, it didn’t make sense at first. I couldn’t believe I actually won $100,000,” Forlini told Lottery officials. “Winning this is going to be a big help. I’ll be able to help fix my mom’s house up and pay off my credit cards.”
Forlini purchased his 50/50 Super Draw ticket at The Store of Danbury at 79 Lake Avenue in Danbury. For selling the top prize winning ticket, The Store of Danbury will receive a $1,000 bonus check from the CT Lottery.
The winning names, stories and photos on this website are just a small number of the thousands who claim prizes. The fact is, people win every day with the CT Lottery! Below is a list of recently claimed prizes of $10,000 or more. Please Note: When a winning scratch ticket is validated through a Lottery Retailer's terminal, the remaining number of unclaimed prizes for that prize level is automatically updated reflecting one less prize. Until the individual or group presents their winning ticket for claim at CT Lottery Headquarters, the identity of a winner is unknown.
