A TWO MILLION DOLLAR MADE MANWALLINGFORD, Conn. — May 21, 2025 — Loyalty to the game paid off big when the lottery ticket scanner revealed a $2 million win.

That’s how a Danbury man described the moment he won the top prize in the CT Lottery’s “$2,000,000 MEGA MULTIPLIER” scratch game.

The man is a regular CT Lottery player and says he’s stayed loyal because the games provide a thrilling and fun experience. He purchased and played the winning ticket at J & R White Street Citgo on White Street in Danbury. He had originally stopped in to play KENO but bought a few scratch games while there—and his life changed instantly. The man says he’s won a few larger prizes in the past and considers himself lucky.

He says he plans to use the winnings to start over after facing some personal hardships. First on the list: stop renting and become a homeowner. He also wants to travel and explore South America.

The retailer is on a winning streak too! J & R White Street Citgo has sold winning $10,000 Mega Millions and $10,000 Play4 tickets this year and a $20,000 scratch game winner last November. In 2023, the store also sold a winning $10,000 Play4 ticket and a $100,000 Cash5 ticket.

For selling the winning ticket, J & R White Street Citgo will receive a $20,000 bonus—one of the many advantages of being a CT Lottery retail partner.
Congratulations to the winner and the retailer!

There is still one top prize remaining in the "$2,000,000 MEGA MULTIPLIER” game.
