Play4 Day’s 1-9-3-4 Draws Lottery Winners Throughout the State on Aug. 18Were you born in 1934?  If you were, perhaps you were one of the 388 lucky winners throughout the state who had 1 – 9 – 3 – 4 on their Play4 Day tickets for the August 18 drawing.  “Birth years” are certainly some of the most commonly played lottery numbers and the number 1 – 9 – 3 – 4 was no exception; the number resulted in an extraordinary number of top prizes won in the game for that day.  

A total of 90 top prize tickets for a “Straight” number match, each worth $2,500 in prize money, and  298 “Box” prize winners; each worth $104 were won.  The last time the number 1 – 9 – 3 – 4 was drawn in Play4 Day was on October 22, 2010.

Some notable, famous birthdays that occurred in 1934 were:

•  Pop singer, Pat Boone, who covered such hits as "Tutti Fruitti"
•  Singer, Frankie Vallie; his hits with the Four Seasons included "Big Girls Don't Cry"
•  Italian fashion designer, Giorgio Armani

Play4 drawings are held daily at 1:57pm, and nightly at 10:29pm. Tickets cost from $.50 to $5.00 each.  There are 10,000 possible number combinations that can be drawn in the game, using the digits 0 – 9.
