SALARY:  CL 21 $54,359.00 starting annual salary

The Connecticut Lottery Corporation has an opening for a motivated, professional, customer service driven person to join our team as a Lottery Sales Representative 2 (LSR 2). An LSR 2 is accountable for performing a number of complex activities to assist, enhance and facilitate Lottery Corporation efforts to promote lottery sales through potential retail accounts.  Successful candidates will recruit potential new lottery retailers with leads, cold calling and various marketing techniques.  Recruitment efforts and coordination will include evaluation of potential development and strategies to increase the lottery retailer network.  The LSR 2 will advise retailers on effective use of point-of-sale materials; provide information, education and support about lottery games, policies and procedures; prepare and submit reports as required; perform related duties as required.

Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of seven (7) years experience in outside sales or a closely related field involving direct responsibility for contacting prospects to promote products and/or services to companies as well as previous experience in identifying and soliciting prospective new business and the ability to use available tools and resources to achieve desired results.  College training may be substituted for sales experience subject to applicable rules. 

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  A valid Connecticut driver’s license is required.  Proficiency in computer skills required.  Bi-lingual ability is a plus.
