Kyle Tousignant Claims “30X Cash” Instant Game Top Prize
Bristol Resident Wins $30,000 Lottery Prize in a Pinch
June 24, 2013 --
On the occasions that Kyle Tousignant of Bristol shops for his family’s groceries, he’ll take a chance at winning a prize on a CT Lottery instant game. Yesterday, Tousignant “had a feeling” and decided to buy a “30X Cash
” ticket. “When my wife, Renee, and I saw we won $30,000, I pinched her and asked her if this was real—then she pinched me back,” said Tousignant with a laugh.
When Tousignant first scratched the top half of his 30X Cash ticket he revealed a “4X” multiplier symbol and $3,000 prize. “I called out to Renee that I thought I won $12,000,” Tousignant told Lottery officials. “While she stood looking over my shoulder, I scratched the rest of the ticket and won two more times for a total of $30,000. We were both very excited.”
Today, Tousignant arrived at Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill and received a prize check for $20,499 (value after taxes). “My wife is a stay at home mom with our son, so this will be a big help to us,” Tousignant said.
Tousignant purchased his 30X Cash top prize winning ticket at Super Stop & Shop #628, located at 597 Farmington Avenue in Bristol. Super Stop & Shop will receive a $300 bonus check from the CT Lottery for selling the ticket.
