September 06, 2012 -- CT Lottery’s new $2 instant game “Lucky 7’s Tripler,” which launched August 27, has already produced its first of four top prize winners in the game worth $17,777—and Marlo Lewis-Moye of Hamden was only too happy to claim it.  

“My uncle had picked up three Lucky 7’s Tripler tickets for me to play,” Lewis-Moye told Lottery officials.  “The first was a $7 winner; the next was $17.  When I scratched the third ticket and saw I won $17,777, I called my uncle and told him he had to come over...I’ve got a big winner!”

Thursday morning, Lewis-Moye visited a local lottery retailer to scan her winning ticket in a Ticket Checker for extra verification and then drove straight to Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill where she accepted a prize check for $12,142 (value after taxes).  “I’m going to put the money right into savings,” Lewis-Moye said.

For selling Lewis-Moye her top prize winning ticket, Redenti’s Package Store, located at 229 Grand Avenue in New Haven, will receive a $177.77 bonus check from the CT Lottery.
