“Selling CT Lottery at Stew Leonard’s has been a huge hit with our customers,” said Dan Arthur, Stew Leonard’s store president in Newington. “I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Brighenty last Saturday when she came by the store to buy her ticket, and we couldn’t be more excited for her! Ada arrived at CT Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill to accept a prize check for $34,151 (value after taxes). “When I first scratched my ticket I thought I won $5. I kept scratching and there were more zeros, until finally, I saw the $50,000. I never thought I would win this much,” Ada said. “I’d like to do something fun with a little bit of the money, but first, I’ll talk to my accountant and make my plans from there.”
For selling Ada her $50,000 top prize winning Red Hot 5’s Doubler ticket, Stew Leonard’s will receive a $500 bonus from the CT Lottery.
