DRAWING GAMES WINNER!
Floyd Morgan of Old Greenwich Wins $10,000 "Lucky-4-Life"
Lucky UConn Hoops Fan Scores $10,000 Lottery Win
March 18, 2011 -- Old Greenwich resident, Floyd Morgan, is a regular viewer of the CT Lottery’s nightly number drawings.  Thursday night, however, Morgan’s eye was on UConn’s first round game against Bucknell in the 2011 NCAA tournament.  UConn’s win against Bucknell was a slam dunk, and unbeknownst to this UConn fan, Morgan would soon have a big score of his own to celebrate—as a $10,000 Lucky-4-Life draw game prize winner.

The winning Lucky-4-Life numbers on Morgan’s ticket were 07 – 25 – 29  and 30 for the March 17, 2011 drawing.  The Lucky Ball number, which Morgan did not have, was 37.  In addition to Morgan, there were 7,749 winning tickets sold for that drawing including two others worth $10,000 each.

It wasn’t until early this morning that Morgan, a chef at Indian Harbor Yacht Club in Greenwich, picked up a winning numbers report from a lottery retailer and saw that he had a $10,000 winning combination on his Lucky-4-Life ticket.  “It was nice to see four numbers in a row,” Morgan remarked to Lottery officials with a chuckle.

Today, Morgan arrived at Lottery Headquarters to claim a check for $6,850 (prize value after taxes).  “I’m going to pay off my car, and then pay bills,” said Morgan.

For selling Morgan his winning Lucky-4-Life ticket, Super Stop & Shop, located on West Main Street in Stamford, will receive a $100 bonus from the CT Lottery for doing so.
