HOW TO PLAY MEGA MILLIONS® with MEGAPLIER®
Play Big With Mega Millions®! It's the multi-state game with big play action! Jackpots start at $12 million and grow until they're won. Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00pm and broadcast locally at 11:22pm on Fox CT - Channel 61 and WCCT-TV - Channel 20. Besides the jackpot, there are eight other ways to win.  When you play, add on the Megaplier® for a chance to increase your non-jackpot prize winnings!

How to Play
  • Fill in a Mega Millions® play slip by choosing 5 different "white" numbers from 1 to 56, and 1 Mega Ball "yellow" number from 1 to 46.  Tickets cost $1 per wager. (See Prize Payout Table below.)

  • If you can't decide which numbers to play, let the computer pick them for you. Ask for a Mega Millions® Quick Pick.

  • During the drawing, 5 white balls, 1 yellow ball, and 1 Megaplier® ball (2, 3 or 4) are selected.

  • Each Mega Millions® play slip contains 5 separate $1 wagers.

  • Buy tickets for future drawings with the "Advance Action" option, available for up to 26 drawings. Get 26 Advance Action plays for the price of $25!

Multiply Your Prize with Megaplier®
  • Megaplier® is a $1 add-on feature (per wager) that multiplies the original prize amount by 2, 3, or 4 times (except for Jackpot and Match 5 levels).

  • If Megaplier® is activated and you match 5 white numbers, the prize is guaranteed to be $1,000,000!

  • Megaplier® can only be added at time of purchase.
REPLAY YOUR TICKET
 
The FAST and EASY way to play your numbers again!
  • Hand the lottery retailer your existing draw game ticket and JUST SAY, "REPLAY."
  • You will get a new ticket, for the same game with the same numbers and wager amount.
  • Your new ticket will have the REPLAY "R" printed on it.
  • Available ONLY on Powerball®, Mega Millions®, Lotto, Cash5, Lucky for Life, Play3, Play4 as well as Advance Action and Multi-Draw Tickets.
  • REPLAY is NOT available on Super Draw or Advance Day tickets.

CLAIM YOUR PRIZE
  • Place your name on the back of your ticket immediately to establish ownership.

  • Prizes up to $599 can be claimed at any CT Lottery retailer. Click here to find a retailer in your area.

  • Prizes of $5,000 or less can be claimed at any CT Lottery High-Tier Claim Center.

  • Prizes greater than $5,000 must be claimed at CT Lottery Headquarters.

  • Tickets expire 180 days from the drawing date. All prizes must be claimed within 180 days of drawing date.
CHOOSE YOUR JACKPOT PAYOUT
The Lottery announces the jackpot's estimated "ANNUITY" and estimated "CASH LUMP SUM" value for every Mega Millions® drawing. Jackpot prizes are paid as an annuity in 26 annual installments unless the winner selects the cash lump sum payout choice within 60 days after the ticket validation date. When there is no jackpot winner, the jackpot prize money rolls over and is added to the next drawing.
HOW LATE CAN I BUY A TICKET?
Mega Millions® ticket sales close at 11:00pm on non-drawing days. On drawing days, sales close at 10:45pm; drawing is held at 11:00pm. Results are broadcast at approximately 11:22pm.
CAN I BUY MEGA MILLIONS® TICKETS ONLINE OR BY MAIL?
No. Federal legislation prohibits lotteries from selling tickets by mail or on the Internet. Click here to learn how to protect yourself from scams.

When the Mega Millions® jackpot reaches or exceeds $150 million, the CT Lottery begins answering the toll-free Mega Millions® Hotline 1-877-433-0303 (8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday).
