Salary Range: $80,427-$120,641
 
 

The Connecticut Lottery Corporation, a $1 billion gaming organization, is recruiting for a Social Media Director to build and lead its entry into interactive marketing communications.  For this newly created position, we seek a well-rounded, innovative, hands-on person with proven experience in the following areas:  Social Media, strategic planning, channel management, development and implementation of electronic marketing programs, loyalty programs and mobile applications.

The CT Lottery is a high-profile brand, with more than 2,700 brick and mortar sales outlets statewide.  We’ve got the “ground-work” done, now, our goal is to reach new audiences and build our brand even further by engaging people through an online presence.  To be a good fit for our team, you will have:  experience in shaping strategies for branding product lines and thought leadership on a variety of social platforms, the ability to leverage your business knowledge to build partnerships and sponsorships, strong analytical and search engine optimization skills that can be translated into clear insight, actions and programs, and, relevant hands-on experience managing multiple channels.  Experience in Public Relations, copywriting, website production, loyalty program management, staff supervision, project management, policy development, email marketing and proven attention-to-detail would help us hit the “like” button!  The right candidate will report to the VP of Sales and Marketing, but will work collaboratively with a variety of company divisions to ensure that our sales and product loyalty keeps growing.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Marketing, Public Relations or related field).  Four years relevant experience in Marketing/Communications at least two of which were social media focused.  Strong computer skills, understanding of interactive technologies, and excellent communication skills required.
